Dr. Abraham-Pratt is a licensed psychologist specializing in the psychological aspects of weight management problems in children. Additionally, she is board certified in pediatrics and bariatric medicine.
Her goal is to help improve kids’ self-esteem and overall mental health while putting them on track for healthy lifestyle choices through adulthood. Her culturally sensitive approach to family counseling is a key to successful outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Abraham-Pratt fulfilled a Fellowship in Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology and an internship in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine Mailman Center for Child Development. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables.
Additionally, Dr. Abraham-Pratt completed a residency in Pediatrics at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and earned her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, both in Loma Linda, California.
She currently works in tandem with Dr. Angela Fals and the medical team at Florida Hospital for Children to provide a comprehensive weight management and lifestyle program. Dr. Pratt uses an approach to examine the biopsychosocial factors that affect child and family functioning, helping her patients gain control of their weight and make healthy lifestyle choices.
