"William and I are absolutely thrilled" - Kate speaks out on Harry and Meghan's engagement
Kate Middleton has revealed she and Prince William are “absolutely thrilled” following Prince Harry’s engagement to Meghan Markle.
The Duchess of Cambridge has made her first appearance after the couple’s engagement was announced yesterday.
When asked about the engagement she said: “William and I are absolutely thrilled.
“It’s such exciting news. “It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

Kate Middleton makes first appearance after Meghan and Harry announce engagement
Kate Middleton has made her first appearance after Meghan Markel and Prince Harry announced their engagement yesterday.
She arrived at a charity event today sporting a dress by Kate Spade.
The Duchess of Cambridge is attending the Foundling Museum, which celebrates the history of the UK’s first children’s charity and first public art gallery.
The museum was is today taking part in the launch of the Big Give Christmas Challenge 2017, which will see all donations go towards arts projects with critically ill children in London hospitals.
It comes as Kate’s brother-in-law and his American actress fiance are expected to announce further details of their impending nuptials next year.
Later today we should learn the month and venue for the 2018 wedding of the year.

Meghan 'broke' Queen's royal dressing rule during engagement photoshoot
Meghan Markle appeared to break the royal dressing rule at her engagement photoshootyesterday.
Though looking stylish and articulate, one detail of her outfit seemed to fly in the face of royal convention.
Meghan ditched the nylons which have been faithfully upheld by other female members such as the Duchess of Cambridge and the Queen.
The former Suits actor appeared bare-legged for the photoshoot in Kensington Palace’s sunken garden.
Kate, on the other hand, is a devotee of nude hosiery.
As for the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall, they’re never not seen in tights.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, for all royal events the Queen requires her family members, and her guests, to wear tights.
