It's been about two months since the world's most-famous giraffe gave birth to a baby boy, but April is still having an impact on people's lives.
Millions of people anxiously awaited the birth of April, the giraffe's calf, and were glued to a live-stream monitoring her every move for months. One of those tuned in was a 10-year-old boy in Ohio named Alex.
Alex suffers from a life-threatening seizure disorder and, like so many others, was captivated by the video of April. So when the Make-A-Wish Foundation offered to grant Alex's wish, he immediately asked to meet April the giraffe.
So on Tuesday, the foundation arranged for Alex and his family to travel to the Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York, for a special meet and greet with April. He was allowed to get up close and personal with April and pose for pictures with her.
