The Tampa Bay Lightning (42-21-4) defeated the Vancouver Canucks (21-39-8) 6-2 on Thursday night at Rogers Arena in Vancouver. With the win, the Lightning have now won two in a row to start their road trip through Seattle and Western Canada.
Six different players had goals for Tampa Bay, including Anthony Cirelli and Nikita Kucherov, who both had a goal and two assists. Kucherov now has four consecutive road games with at least three points, and is now in second place in the NHL scoring race with 114 points. Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers is the leader in the NHL scoring race with 115 points.
The Lightning will now head to Edmonton to play the Oilers in a matchup between the NHL's two top scoring players on Saturday. Puck drop between the Lightning and Oilers is scheduled for 10:00 PM on Saturday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
