Panthers Snap Lightning Winning Streak At Eight

The Florida Panthers (38-21-3) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (35-21-4) 2-1 on Monday night in Sunrise. The loss ended the Lightning's winning streak at eight games in a row.

Aleksander Barkov scored twice in the second period to lift Florida to a 2-0 lead. Brayden Point got one back in the third period, but that would be as close as the Lightning would get. Andrei Vasilevskiy went 27-for-29 in net for Tampa Bay in the losing effort.

The Lightning will now look to bounce back in the second game of a back-to-back on Tuesday night against the Buffalo Sabres. Puck drop Tuesday is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena.
