FORT WALTON BEACH -- A Florida woman faces child neglect charges after sheriff's deputies say, she left her children unattended to go out to a club Friday night.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says a security officer at an apartment complex found a three year old asleep on a sidewalk, wrapped in a blanket early Saturday morning. Deputies found two more small children asleep alone in an apartment.
Deputies say 25-year-old Shyla Heidelberg returned to the apartment and admitted she went out to a nightclub an hour and a half earlier, leaving her children unattended. She was charged with three counts of child neglect.
