Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are ready to tie the knot!
Following a summer romance in 2018, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor revealed he officially proposed to his author girlfriend on Monday (January 14) — and she said "Yes!"
The 39-year-old broke the announcement on his Instagram account.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!" the actor inscribed a lovable image of him embracing his future wife, whose engagement ring was on full display.
According to PEOPLE, Pratt came to meet Schwarzenegger through her mother, Maria Shriver, last June. Rumors began swirling of the two being an item when they were pictured on a picnic date at a park in Santa Barbara on Father's Day 2018.
Things between the pair began to move quickly as the duo was spotted on dates in Los Angeles and outdoor excursions with Pratt's 6-year-old son Jack, whom he co-parents with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris.
"They’re both serious about the relationship and hopeful for the future,” an insider told PEOPLE of their budding romance. "Chris doesn’t just date to date, and neither does Katherine. She’s very excited."
Pratt and Faris finalized their divorce after nine years of marriage in October 2018. Despite the ordeal, there was no tension during the process. In fact, the two have remained good friends and are respectively supportive of each other's love lives.
The exciting engagement news comes just a month after the lovebirds went Instagram official on Schwarzenegger's 29th birthday on December 13.
