Dark chocolate really is good for you. New research finds a component of dark chocolate may actually help keep weight down and help prevent type 2 diabetes. U.S. researchers say oligomeric procyanidins, which is found in dark chocolate, showed promising health benefits in mice. Researchers say the component "appears to possess the greatest anti-obesity and anti-diabetic bioactivities of the flavanols in cocoa."
