50 Shades fans may have gotten an early Valentine's gift from the steamy trilogy's author, E. L. James.

Fans have been begging for the story to be told from Christian's point of view, and, not only has James said in interviews that the idea of telling Christian's story has been in the back of her mind since 2012, but she also told fans this weekend via Twitter, "Never say never." It's a total tease, but she is clearly setting herself and the franchise up for more naughty antics from the "Red Room of Pain."

Here's the thing, though. Writing the books from another character's point of view could be tricky. Fans of the books might get stuck reading a duplicate story with different internal struggles, but all the same dialogue and scenes. If James does decide to do it, let's hope she decides to tell a different story that follows the original.
