Now here's a genius idea, if you like bacon and whisjey.
A whiskey distillery in Iowa is raising pigs in hopes of creating the perfect whiskey-flavored bacon.
Realizing that whiskey and pork already go well together, which we know from Jack Daniel's sauces and bacon-infused bourbon, the Templeton Rye Distillery is trying something revolutionary – raising pigs that already taste like whiskey.
The distillery has begun a new project where they're raising 25 pigs on a diet of dried grain that has already been through the whiskey-making process. The hope is that the porkers will eventually make whiskey-flavored bacon and pork chops.
